Don't Rely On Luck, Be Smart With Your Digital Strategy

Most of the time you'll find Mojo's digital marketers hovered over computer screens monitoring conversion rates, writing killer content, and implementing S.M.A.R.T. strategy. (Because lets face it, digital marketing success has nothing to do with luck. It's about well-crafted strategy.) But being only a couple of days from St. Patrick's Day, we've thrown on some green and spruced up the office.

If you were to leave your digital marketing to luck, you may as well be looking for the end of the rainbow in search of a pot of gold. At Mojo we like to take the guess-work out of return on investment and implement S.M.A.R.T. strategy.

What is a S.M.A.R.T strategy?

Glad you ask. S.M.A.R.T. is something our CEO continually coaches Mojo digital marketers.

S.M.A.R.T. strategy is specific, measurable, attainable, results, that are timebound.

  1. Strategy must be specific for digital marketing to have an impact on your ROI. Random acts of marketing (RAM) can be detrimental to your efforts. This group of Dallas digital marketers establishes specific objectives that are aligned with specific actions.
  2. A successful strategy must also be measurable. You have to have the proper analytics and know-how to measure your successes and failures. Know what's working with your target audience and adjust the strategy accordingly. This way you're always learning about your target audience and engaging with them in the right way.
  3. Digital marketing objectives have to be attainable. You will be always be unsatisfied if your goals aren't realistic or attainable. Not to mention the problems that could come up in the office from setting unattainable goals. Make sure your team has digital marketing experience so they can accurately put strategy into place and predict results.
  4. S.M.A.R.T. strategy has to include a time frame your campaigns follow. Digital marketing is all about nurturing leads and generating online engagement. You digital marketing strategy should be able to take a follower on a social network and nurture them into paying customer. To make that happen there needs to be a continual stream of communication between you and your target audience whether it be through content, emails, or social media. Without a timebound strategy and knowing what will happen when and where, you're efforts aren't going to generate that ROI you were hoping for.
  5. Results. We all want to see fantastic results and an ever increasing ROI. But to see the results you've been hearing digital marketing has the capability of generating (ridiculously high conversion rates, increased traffic, etc.) you have to be S.M.A.R.T about your strategy and measure the results you've already obtained. Be specific, measure accruately, set attainable objectives, and set time frames.

Don't Just Hope For Luck
